Pelflix has announced "Hooves of Glory," a four-part documentary series chronicling the fierce rivalries and ancient traditions of Syldavian goat racing. Production is currently underway, with crews embedded at stables across all four racing regions.
Tradition Versus Technology
The series will centre on the philosophical divide between the sport's oldest and newest approaches. Stâna Kragon of Zymal, founded in 1847 under patronage of the House of Dbrnouk, maintains that "only mountain blood endures"—raising their Zymylpathian Stripebacks on stone terraces where winter decides which bloodlines survive.
In stark contrast, Klow's Domaine Petrov, established just seventeen years ago, employs algorithmic breeding, micro-monitoring, and data analysis to produce flat-course speedsters. Their motto: "Numbers do not lie. We listen."
"This isn't just sport," explains executive producer Jelena Marković. "It's a window into how Syldavia grapples with tradition and modernity."
Unprecedented Access
The production has secured filming rights at all six major stables, including the Monastery of Saint Wladimir, where handlers observe complete silence on race days, and the Royal Pastures of Klow, maintained by the Crown Estate since 1789.
Baroness Mirena Vledara of Haras Pollishoff has granted access to her family's legendary lineage archives—charts filling an entire basement, normally closed to outsiders.
Spring 2026 Premiere
"Hooves of Glory" will premiere on Pelflix in April 2026, timed to coincide with the opening of the Grand Prix season at the Klow Spring Classic. A theatrical premiere at KIFF 2026 is under discussion.
