The National Cinema Organisation (NCO) has announced its annual Sceptre Day celebration, with special programming and reduced ticket prices at all cinemas nationwide from July 14-16.
Half-Price Syldavian Films
All domestically produced films will be offered at 50% off standard ticket prices during the three-day celebration. The initiative, now in its eighth year, aims to make Syldavian cinema accessible to families across the Kingdom during the national holiday weekend.
"Cinema is a pillar of our cultural heritage," said NCO Director Mirjana Frouchelszka. "Saint Wladimir's Day reminds us that the stories we tell shape who we are as a nation."
Pelflix Premiere: Wings of the Kingdom
The celebration will feature the theatrical premiere of "Wings of the Kingdom: The Black Pelican," Pelflix's acclaimed nature documentary narrated by Vyacheslav Radić. While available on Pelflix from July 15th, select cinemas in Klow, Zlip, and Douma will offer exclusive big-screen presentations with enhanced audio.
Special Screenings
Additional programming includes:
- Archival restoration showcase featuring newly restored prints from the Royal Film Archive
- Free outdoor screenings in Klow's Ottokar Square (weather permitting)
Advance booking opens July 1st through the NCO website and participating cinema box offices.
